A summer day. An obviously-in-love couple. A stunning waterfront Cape Cod wedding venue. If you think it all sounds absolutely swoon worthy, you are so right!
When Pinky and Cam decided to tie the knot on the Cape, they wanted a venue with a distinctly Cape Cod vibe that would allow them to gather together with family and close friends, with the ceremony and reception the centerpiece of a leisurely weekend. Turntide Estate, a regal home with a historic pedigree, half a dozen bedrooms, and epic water views, proved the perfect place for a perfect wedding on Cape Cod. A spacious lawn with room for a tent, and a private beach made it even more so.
On the Big Day, as Pinky prepared – her mother and maids by her side – Cam and his groomsmen enjoyed a cold one while they tossed around a Frisbee. The couple wanted their wedding to unfold at relaxed a pace — a tone they set early in the day.
After beautifully capturing images of Pinky’s dress and gems, the talented team of Price | Burr Photography met the boys down on the beach for a few informal portraits.
After giving her father a kiss on the cheek, Pinky descended the stairs, the picture of elegance in a lace, sheath-style gown. At the bottom of the stairs, Pinky was met by her sister, who helped her with the final touch: an ethereal, cathedral-length veil.
Having decided against a first look ceremony, the first time Cam saw his bride was as she walked down a gentle slope from the home to the beach, a parent on either arm. Totally worth the wait, wasn’t it, Cam?
In a ceremony that honored both families’ heritages, the couple exchanged their vows on the private beach, an arbor draped in fabric and overflowing with stunning florals overhead, the water a perfect backdrop.
After the ceremony – mission accomplished! – their guests moved back up to the lawn for the cocktail reception, while Cam and Pinky spent a few minutes on the beach with their families and wedding party for photo ops.
With their informal-formal portraits completed, Cam and Pinky joined their guests under the soaring sailcloth tent. Inside, the tables were topped with cloths in a pale blush tone and arranged with lush centerpieces. At each place setting was a beautifully wrapped gift, a thoughtful token to thank everyone for joining the couple on such a special day.
The first thing the newlyweds did as they entered the tent was wow the crowd with their first dance. A traditional cake-cutting ceremony followed. With nuptials, portraits, and cake cutting attended to, it was time to eat, drink and be very merry!
