Let’s talk cake!

Here at The Casual Gourmet, We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE CAKE!!! All Cake Colors, Styles and Sizes! This year are we seeing so many different types coming through the door from the Great Gatsby Throwbacks to Midas Metallic Touches and everything in between.

Some of our favorites are the classic elegant styles with pearls and bling embellishments that scream Roaring 20’s of the twenty first century.

Many couples come in with color and pattern themes that they would like to compliment their cakes. We love to incorporate the dainty and delicate hues of their flowers to sharp lines and bold colors of retro geometric patterns.

Rustic is the new chic. We are bringing the outdoors in these days. Our favorite one is a birch tree that we customized by “carving” a heart and the bride and groom’s initials into the side. Try using a large slab of a tree stump as a cake stand to really pull the look together.

Don’t like a traditional cake? Well we got you covered!! The unconventional and undressed would be right up your alley. We love these easy to eat and interesting options like Cake Pops, French Macaron Tower, Cupcakes and of course the “Naked” Cake. “Naked” cakes are the new thing, layer of cakes with frosting and filling but they are daring and barring on the sides.

But as far as Cape Cod goes, No Matter What, Nautical Never Goes Out of Style! White Chocolate Shells, Beach Scenes, Adirondack Chairs, Nautical Flags and Accents are our specialty.
