The leaves on the trees were burnished to perfect shades of gold and amber when Jenna and Joe exchanged their vows in front of 100 guests at Sandwich’s beautiful Heritage Museums & Gardens on October 7th, 2017. The talented artists from Vero Amore Weddings were on hand throughout Jenna and Joe’s special day, beautifully capturing each heartfelt moment, and they were kind enough to share the photos.
The bride was radiant in a low-backed, sleeveless lace gown complemented by a string of pearls, a delicate beaded headpiece, and a bouquet of white roses. Her maids wore floor-length navy gowns, perfect for a fall day, and Joe and the groomsmen were in sharp grey suits accented with navy ties in the same classic hue. A red-headed flower girl was a too-cute addition to the wedding party.
The ceremony was held in the Labyrinth, a secluded corner of Heritage’s manicured grounds, where the bride walked down a garden path and met her groom beneath a canopy of gorgeous greenery. It was pure photo-op perfection.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom took time to pose for portraits among the priceless vintage automobiles displayed in the J.K. Lilly Automobile Gallery, a reproduction of the Round Stone Barn at Hancock Shaker Village.
Heritage Museums & Gardens founder Josiah K. Lilly, III collected antique American automobiles, and his passion is on display in this collection of 40 antique vehicles, ranging from an 1899 Winton to a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette. Jenna, Joe and their guests took it all in, including the 1931 Duesenberg Model J Derham Tourster once owned by Gary Cooper and a 1909 White Steamer used by William Howard Taft, the first president to be officially transported by automobile.
After ogling the auto collection, the newlyweds made their official entrance into the light-filled private event room, where delicate floral centerpieces popped against creamy walls and blonde wood flooring. The tables were adorned in nautical navy and white with white rose centerpieces for a truly Cape Cod- inspired celebration.
As they mingled during the cocktail hour, Jenna, Joe and their guests enjoyed a selection of butlered hors d’oeuvres including truffled mac and cheese tartlets, warm goat cheese toasts, and mini lobster rolls. A three-course, sit-down dinner followed. As the party dined, toasts from family and friends brought tears to the beaming bride’s eyes.
A buffet of miniature desserts arranged under the tent outside over the brick terrace helped keep the party going as things kicked into high gear for an evening of dancing.
