This past week we had the pleasure of hosting the 2nd Annual Cocktails and Connection event alongside our friends and Co-Sponsors at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce which took place at the Cape Cod Museum of Art.
Upon registering their names and picking up their name tags, guests were able to drop their business card into the raffle pile with the hopes of winning this year’s door prize. Geek Girls provided free tuition to one of their Business Web Courses for the winner of the door prize. About 200 of our friends and fellow wedding industry professionals joined us for a great night of fun, food and networking! For this year’s event we had the privilege to work with Desiree of Desiree Spinner Events, who lended her hand in the planning process and brought Tony Ormonde from Ormonde Productions on board to provide stunning, vibrant lighting that really dressed up the museum.
The lighting brought out the funky and fabulous linens in hot pink and tangerine that were provided by Be Our Guest.
AFR Furniture and Rentals Unlimited graciously donated lounge furniture to create two separate seating areas within the museum and Undercover Tent provided tables and chairs for the evening. Colorful and cheery florals adorned the space and were generously donated by our creative and talented friends at Patrice Milley Florals, Lilacs, All About Flowers for Weddings and Designers Touch.
Food was provided by the Casual Gourmet, Sysco Boston and the Dennis Inn and the wine was provided by Truro Vineyards and the Cape Cod Chamber.
As guests ate, drank and mingled they enjoyed soft background music provided by Cape Tunes. Complimentary Valet parking was provided by Prestige Valet Parking. At the end of the night guests were able to pick up small pouches that were provided by Lady Slipper Stationery that were filled with business cards from all of the event’s sponsors.
For this year’s event we created a Twitter hashtag (#CCWeddings) and encouraged everyone to Tweet live from the event. All of the night’s Tweets were displayed on www.CapeCodWedding.com, which is the digital home of the Cape Cod Wedding Industry.
