The Hyannis Youth & Community Center will celebrate its third year of operation by welcoming The Casual Gourmet as the new food concessionaire.

On September 1st, The Casual Gourmet will bring its renowned food and service style and energy to serve the thousands of local, regional and international visitors frequenting the Center.

“I am thrilled to welcome the Casual Gourmet as our new food service provider.  They have a number of successful locations throughout the region and have a wonderful reputation in the community.  I am looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship between the HYCC and the Casual Gourmet,” said the Hyannis Youth & Community Center’s General Manager, Joe Izzo.

The Casual Gourmet is a well-known local catering business, now in its 26th year, operating Cafés in Centerville, the Cape Cod Mall, Heritage Museums and Gardens, and at Cape Cod Hospital. It is also the exclusive caterer at Heritage Museums and Gardens and at Historic Highfield Hall.

“Having the Casual Gourmet come in to the HYCC as our new food service vendor is exciting!” said Tom Lynch, Town Manager. “Their presence will compliment our commitment to bring local flavor to the family experience when visiting Barnstable.”

Partnering with the Hyannis Youth & Community Center is a natural fit for a local company with a deep community commitment.

Olive Chase, founder and President of The Casual Gourmet says, “Our family has a long history of supporting the Hyannis Youth & Community Center from its inception. The Center is a true community treasure offering a safe harbor to the children in our community who are most in need and a spectacular venue for community and sporting events. We are thrilled to partner with the Town of Barnstable in operating the Scudder Family Café and providing catering throughout the Center.”

The Casual Gourmet will offer a full service menu featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Complete menus and pricing will be finalized shortly and a catering menu for birthday parties and other social functions will be available online at the HYCC web site.
